- Make sure that the phones' LAN port is connected to the LAN via an ethernet cable and that LAN port provides Internet access (Grandstream phones will report "Direct IP calls disabled" if they do not get a working Internet connection).
- Power-cycle the phone.
- When the phone boots up, verify that it has an IP address. Note the IP address.
- Connect a computer to the phone's PC port.
- Turn off WIFI on the computer.
- Reboot the computer and check if the computer has an IP address. Verify that the computer's IP is on the same subnet as the phone.
- Verify if the computer can ping the phone and access Internet.

How to Power Cycle an IP Phone
Check before power cycling:
- Make sure that the phone is plugged into a known good internet connection.
- Check if there are any loose wires.
- Make sure that the you use the appropriate power supply for the phone.
Steps to power cycle:
- Unplug the power supply of the phone.
- Wait for 5-10 seconds then plug it back in.
- Wait for the phone to start.
- Make test calls using the phone to check if it is working properly.
Additional Troubleshooting Steps
- Press the Menu key found in the middle of the arrow keys and navigate to Config > Upgrade > Config Server and check to see that the config server field says spgs.ipfinity.com
- If the field is blank or has a different entry, fill out the correct string using the keypad and then reboot the phone when you are done.
- To factory reset the phone navigate to Config > Factory Reset and confirm.
- Once the phone has finished its factory reset (it may reboot itself several times and the whole process will likely take a few minutes) enter the Configuration Server string as described above and reboot the phone again.
